October, 2014 – Valero donates an incredible $10,000 to the Ronald McDonald House of Galveston on behalf of the Houston Big Game Fishing Club!
Jerry Dobbs and Jim MacPherson of Valero and Club Director Deano Merrigan presented RMH Executive Director Margie Chavarria with a $10,000 donation on October 31, 2014. Jerry Dobbs became acquainted with the Ronald McDonald House in 2012 when he and his family volunteered at the Club’s 1st Annual Fun Fishing Day. He was so inspired by the Ronald McDonald House program and the families he met that he went to work soliciting a donation from his employer Valero. As a result of his passion for the Ronald McDonald House and his dedication to helping support the program, Valero has now donated a total of $15,000 in two years. We are proud and honored to be affiliated with the Ronald McDonald House and Valero.
