Annual Fundraiser & Awards Banquet

Join us for this exciting annual celebration where we honor the winners of the Annual Awards program with trophies, recognize the new inductees into the Texas Saltwater Fishing Hall of Fame, and enjoy an extravagant live auction and raffle. The presentation of the Jim Peachey Outstanding Captain Award acknowledges the exemplary Club member and professional captain who has consistently upheld the highest standards in his field. With a unique theme each year, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

We are excited to announce that the 2027 Annual Fundraising & Awards Banquet will be held on February 13, 2027, at The Tremont House in Galveston.

This annual celebration brings together our entire community — individuals, families, anglers of all ages, captains, and supporters — to honor the achievements and traditions of the Houston Big Game Fishing Club.

Everyone is invited to participate in our Club Awards Program, which recognizes outstanding accomplishments across both the Texas Division and International Division, including:

  • Captain of the Year
  • Private Boat
  • Male Angler
  • Female Angler
  • Junior Angler
  • And many more categories

The evening also features recognition of the prestigious Texas Saltwater Fishing Hall of Fame inductees, making this one of the most meaningful and celebrated events in Texas sportfishing.

To be eligible for awards, members should begin recording their catches in the HBGFC Reel Time App throughout the year. The app also allows you to update your personal information and enter your T‑shirt size as part of your membership benefits.

If you’re not yet a member, we invite you to join the Houston Big Game Fishing Club and become part of a community dedicated to conservation, camaraderie, and world‑class sportfishing. Please visit our Membership page for more information.
