The Houston Big Game Fishing Club has proudly sponsored the Water Activity Day Events (W.A.D.E.) program since 2009.  WADE is a nationally recognized, award winning three day hands on training program developed by the Houston Safe Boating Council.  The program was developed as a way to promote safe boating through education.  The class is  held twice a year in Clear Lake, Texas, inJune and July. The program offers 36 children per session the opportunity to attain the Texas Boater Education Certificate while gaining hands on experience in:

• Kayaks
• Knot applications
• PFD’s (personal flotation device)
• PWC’s (personal watercraft)
• Power boats
• Sail boats
• Scuba Diving
